Gurney Law Group
I am the managing partner of a boutique law firm in Chicago. I hired Dan to handle all of my marketing and it was the best decision I've ever made!
He is truly a one-person law firm marketing department. His experience, guidance and creativity has been incredibly useful to me as I try to grow my practice.
Most importantly, he is wonderful to work with, a true partner. Highly recommend Dan's services to any firm or company!
Estate planning is one of those offerings that can be seen as "one-time" occurrence. But when you're talking about life, well, as we all know, things change. And those changes can impact your will, trust, your wishes for your household or your business and more.
That's why we worked with Windy City Legal to develop a fresh concept in the law firm marketing space called "Estate Planning for Life." It sends a message that for every stage of this journey that you're on, there's an estate planning attorney here at Windy City Legal who can work with you to adjust accordingly. This isn't set-it-and-forget-it stuff we're talking about. I firmly believe the approach we're taking with the brand makes for longer, more satisfying client relationships that WCL will enjoy for many years to come.
Law firm marketing isn't about speaking to years of service, professionalism or suite of services. If so, you and 100,000 other firms say that kind of thing. It's not original and it's not ownable. Nor is it about speaking in legalese that's going to fly right over your potential client's head. Just because you're a lawyer doesn't mean you should sound like a typical one.
What we do see as a real opportunity for law firm marketing is speaking to certain niches that are underserved but still fall under your specific umbrella.
For example, this piece done for personal injury law firm Gordon Law Offices illustrates how the firm caters to the unique segment of first responders - law enforcement, firefighters and EMS. If you can imagine it, these selfless heroes put themselves in harm's way yet still have to fight for compensation for their injuries after answering the call. There's real emotion behind this message, which aligns perfectly with the personal injury space that GLO serves.
